Chasidy Williams led all scorers at the Ramsey Center with 20 as the Lady Eagles suffered a 12-point loss (67-55), to the Lady Catamounts from Western Carolina in Cullowhee, N.C., Nov. 20.

Montreshia Perry finished with 10 and nine points respectively, while Neely contributed a game high of four assists. Freshmen Tisha Dixon lead NCCU on the board with six total rebounds
The Lady Eagles and the Lady Catamounts tussled for the lead throughout the first half with five lead changes and one tie. NCCU scored first, and saw their next lead at the 7:24 mark after a baseline jumper from Perry, putting the Lady Eagles on top 18-17.
Perry hit a three at the 5:22 mark, tieing the game at 21-21 before the Lady Catamounts went on a 15-0 run to end the half, giving WCU their largest lead of the half with a score of 36-21.
The Lady Eagles never recovered from the first half run made by the Lady Catamounts. NCCU outscored WCU in the second half 34-31, and brought the game within nine after a made free-throw by
Tiffany Gary at the 2:13 mark, but still came up short, falling by 12 in the last minutes of the contest.
NCCU finished 51.2 percent from the field on 22-of-43 shooting, 40 percent from behind the arc, and an impressive 90 percent from the free-throw line, 9-of-10, while collecting a total of 26 rebounds as a team.
Eight members of the Lady Catamounts squad score in the win, with Ali Lane and Rena Wakama contributing 12 points apiece. Lane also collected six boards, dished out two assists and forced a NCCU turnover with one steal.
WCU finished 47.2 percent from the field on 25-of-53 shooting, 41.7 percent from behind the arc, and 60 percent from the free-throw line, 12-of-20 and collected 27 boards.
NCCU returns home to the eagles nest for the first time during the 2012-12 season, to host Presbyterian College on Saturday, Nov. 24 in McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium at 3:00 p.m. in Durham, N.C.
