DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women’s volleyball team will host the North Carolina A&T State Aggies (2-29) for “Eagle Pride Night” on Friday, Nov. 5 in the McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium on the campus of NCCU. First serve of match is slated to begin 7 p.m.
In their last meeting, the Eagles swept the Aggies 3-0 in Moore Gymnasium on Oct. 6 in Greensboro, N.C.
Eagles’ freshman setter Jzima-Malaki Kalao fed the hungry offense 29 assists. Senior Belinda Behncke-Biney turned 14 of Kalao’s sets into kills, leading the Eagles’ offense with a hitting percentage of .565. Outside hitter Martisann Sinclair amassed six kills for NCCU in the win.
Defensively, the Eagles collected 41 digs, led by junior defensive specialist Raven King with a match-high 15 digs. Freshman Kalin Russell assisted with eight digs.
NCCU forced North Carolina A&T to 23 hitting errors, holding them to a -.011 hitting percentage.
The Aggies enters the match with a 10-game losing streak, and the Eagles have dominated the North Carolina A&T over the last two years taking four of the five matches.
The Eagles enter the match with a record of 7-23.
