Austyn Chestnut is in his third season as Director of Operations for the North Carolina Central women's basketball program.
As Director of Operations, Chestnut is responsible for managing the program's daily and travel operations including budgets and itineraries. He also oversees operational planning such as practices, team events and game logistics and maintains connections with the alumni and community.
Prior to joining NCCU, Chestnut was Director of Operations with the North Carolina wrestling program from November 2022 to September 2023.
As a collegian, Chestnut played football at North Carolina from 2017-20 and at Appalachian State in 2021. He graduated from North Carolina with an exercise and sports science degree in 2020 and earned a master's degree at Appalachian State in business administration and interdisciplinary business in 2022.
