Biography

NCCU CAREER (2014-18)
Broke the school's modern era career scoring record with an average round of 75.74. Played in 89 rounds in four seasons. Achieved 17 top-10 finishes with three event victories, both marks are more than any other NCCU Eagle. 

AS A SENIOR (2017-18)
Played in 26 rounds during 10 events. Broke the school's modern era single-season scoring record for a second year in-a-row, averaging 74.15 strokes per round. Posted scores of 75, 74 and 74 (+7) to win the Hampton University Invitational (Sept. 25-26). Tallied two rounds of 73 to finish 4-over-par to win the Black College Golf Coaches Association (BCGCA) Invitational (April 2). Finished as event runner-up at 1-over-par during the Maryland Eastern Shore Collegiate Championship (Oct. 17-18) with scores of 73, 68 (career-low) and 76.

AS A JUNIOR (2016-17)
Played in 23 rounds during eight events. Broke the school's modern era single-season scoring record with an average round of 74.52. Posted a team-high winning percentage of .756. Captured low medalist honors (72-74-76) at the Maryland Eastern Shore Collegiate Challenge (Oct. 16-17). Finished 1-under-par (72-71) to tie for seventh place at the National HBCU Hall of Fame Invitational (Sept. 23-24). Carded a 69 (-1) at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate (Oct. 10). Shot a 2-under-par 70 at the Manor Intercollegiate (April 2). Received team's Most Outstanding Performer Award, Academic Award and Leadership Award.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2015-16)
Played in 20 rounds during eight events. Tallied a team-best scoring average of 76.6 shots per round. Topped team with a winning percentage of .544. Carded a low round of 71 (+1) in the second round of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate (Oct. 12-13), where he strung together scores of 72-71-74 to tie for 24th place. Capped PGA Minority Collegiate Championship with an even-par 72 to finish at +11 and in fifth place on the Division I leaderboard. Earned team's Most Outstanding Performer Award, Academic Award and Players Choice Award.

AS A FRESHMAN (2014-15)
Competed in 20 rounds during nine events. Posted a scoring average of 78.4 strokes per round, which ranked second on the team. Carded a season-low round of even-par 72 at the PGA Minority Collegiate Championship (May 10). Tied for 10th place at the Savannah State Fall Tiger Invitational (Nov. 7-8) by shooting 76 and 75. Recipient of the NCCU Golf True Grit Award.

HIGH SCHOOL (Wylie E. Groves): 
Four-year letterwinner and four-time Team MVP. Earned All-League (2010-14) and All-District (2014) honors. Tied for second place with a 1-under-par 71 at the 2013 MHSAA District 8 Tournament as a junior. As a senior in 2013-14, finished as tournament runner-up four times. First African-American golfer to tie for medalist honors in Michigan Division 1 State Finals. Four-year Honor Roll student. Recipient of Principal Recognition Award. Also lettered in soccer, scoring two game-winning goals. Member of symphony, jazz and marching bands.

INDEPENDENT TOURNAMENTS:
Won four independent tournaments, including the Midwest Golf Association National Junior Championship at Hawthorne Hills Golf Course with a 5-under-par 139 (69-70). 


PERSONAL:
Born May 25, 1996, in Novi, Michigan. Son of John Bohannon and Joyce Austin-Bohannon. Recipient of Bill Dickey Scholarship. Major at NCCU is Business Administration with a Finance concentration.
