Selected 2008 Preseason Independent Offensive Player of the Year and All-Independent First Team by Phil Steele[apos]s 2008 College Football Preview magazine. Ranks fifth on NCCU[apos]s career passing list with 4,288 passing yards. As a rookie in 2006, led team to perfect 11-0 regular season and the school[apos]s second straight conference championship. 2007 - SOPHOMORE SEASON: The lone Eagle to throw a pass in 2007. Completed 50.9 percent of pass attempts (149-of-293) for 1,711 yards and 14 touchdowns. Rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 59 carries. Set career standards with 26 completions, 47 pass attempts, 372 passing yards, 11 rushes, 42 rushing yards and 414 total yards versus Presbyterian (Sept. 29), including 13-of-24 passing for 243 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter alone. Threw at least one touchdown pass in every game of the season. Rushed for a one-yard touchdown at Western Kentucky (Oct. 27). Selected 2007 Preseason Independent Offensive Player of the Year and All-Independent First Team by Phil Steele[apos]s 2007 College Football Preview magazine. 2006 - FRESHMAN SEASON: Voted as the 2006 SBN Sports Doug Williams Offensive Player of the Year, CIAA Offensive Player of the Year and CIAA Rookie of the Year. Selected to Daktronics, Inc. NCAA Division II All-Region Second Team. Topped the conference in passing yards per game (214.8), total passing yards (2,577), passing touchdowns (26), and passing efficiency (141.5). Set a new single-season school record and a new CIAA standard for freshmen with 26 passing touchdowns. Passed for more than 200 yards in eight games. Six-time CIAA Rookie of the Week selection (Aug. 26, Sept. 9, Sept. 23, Sept. 30, Oct. 7, Nov. 4). Threw for a season-high 291 yards and four touchdowns at Bowie State (Sept. 30). Completed season-best 22 passes for 255 yards and two scores against Delta State (Nov. 25) in the second round of the NCAA playoffs. Voted CIAA Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 28) after throwing three touchdown passes and rushing for another score at Livingstone. Completed 12-of-19 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns for a season-best pass efficiency rating of 238.17 versus Lenoir-Rhyne (Sept. 9). Passed for 206 yards and a touchdown in first college game against Albany State (Aug. 26). DUNBAR HIGH SCHOOL: Voted All-Met, All-League, All-Conference and All-Eastern Region.
