2015 - REDSHIRT SENIOR SEASON
Appeared in 10 games as the team's starting tight end. Voted to All-MEAC Second Team. Grabbed 14 receptions for 156 yards, averaging 11.1 yards per catch. Posted the most receptions and receiving yards by an NCCU tight end since 2009. Caught at least one pass in all 10 games he played (missed Howard game on Nov. 14). Tallied a season-best two receptions four times, including Homecoming versus Norfolk State (Oct. 31) for 31 yards and his final college game against rival North Carolina A&T (Nov. 21). Long reception of the season for 19 yards came against Morgan State (Oct. 24).

2014 - REDSHIRT JUNIOR SEASON
Appeared in 11 games at tight end and on special teams.  Recovered a fumble on a punt return at Norfolk State (Nov. 15). Announced to the 2014 College Football Performance Awards Tight End Award Watch List prior to the season. Voted to Preseason All-MEAC Third Team.

2013 - REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE SEASON
Appeared in all 12 games, including 9 as a starting tight end. Collected 7 receptions for 58 yards. Hauled in season-high 4 receptions for 29 yards against nationally-ranked Towson (Sept. 21). 

2012 - REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in 8 games. Recorded 4 receptions for 27 yards in his first season. Caught a season-long pass of 26 yards against Fayetteville State (Sept. 1).

FLETCHER HIGH SCHOOL
Chosen all-conference and all-district. Received team’s Big Playmaker Award. Served as team captain. Team advanced to 5A state playoffs.

PERSONAL
Born December 31, 1991, in Jacksonville, Fla. Parents are Marvin and Sheridan Scruggs. Played alongside older brother Lamar during the 2012 and 2013 seasons at NCCU. Major at NCCU is physical education.
