2006 - FRESHMAN SEASON: Voted to CIAA All-Rookie Team. Placed third on the team with three interceptions for 68 yards. Finished fourth on the squad with 11 passes defended (three interceptions, eight pass break-ups). Added 23 total tackles (14 solo). Recorded season-high three tackles four times, including against Delta State (Nov. 25) in the second round of the NCAA playoffs. Returned an interception 61 yards versus Johnson C. Smith (Nov. 4). Collected two tackles, two pass break-ups and an interception at Fayetteville State (Oct. 14). EASTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL: Selected as 2005 Gainesville Sun High School Football Player of the Year as a senior, an honor he shared with NCCU teammate Tim Shankle. Named All-Area and All-State. As a senior, finished with 1,004 passing yards with 16 touchdowns and just three interceptions, 108 yards and a touchdown on six receptions, 99 carries for 379 yards and six touchdowns, 30 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and four interceptions.
