Collected career record of 24-10 as a starting quarterback (9-3 in 2016, 8-3 in 2015, 6-3 in 2014, 1-1 in 2013) with three consecutive conference championships. Started 24 consecutive games at quarterback to cap his college career. Among NCCU career leaders, second in passing with 6,340 yards, second in total offense with 7,844 yards, and 13th in rushing with 1,504 yards. Broke school record for career completion percentage at 56.6 percent (512-of-905). Accounted for 62 total touchdowns - 20 rushing and 42 passing. R
ushed for 101 yards at Florida A&M on Oct. 10, 2015, to become the first NCCU quarterback to amass 100 yards on the ground since 1999 (Darrell Nesbitt, 156 rushing yards vs. Benedict College, Sept. 25, 1999). Posted three 100-yard rushing performances during junior and senior seasons. Dual-threat quarterback is first Eagle in school history to amass 1,000 rushing yards and 6,000 passing yards in a career.
2016 - REDSHIRT SENIOR SEASON
Voted All-MEAC First Team as top quarterback in the league. Named as one of four Finalists for the inaugural Black College Football Player of the Year Award by the Black College Football Hall of Fame. Two-time MEAC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 17, Nov. 12). Topped MEAC with an average of 250.5 yards of total offense per game. Second in MEAC with 202.6 passing yards per game. Threw for 2,431 yards and 17 touchdowns on 179-of-299 passing (59.9 percent). League's sixth-leading rusher with 575 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. Completed career-best 28 passes for season-high 336 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 52 yards and a score versus Savannah State (Oct 15). In last two games of regular season, rushed for 253 yards and four touchdowns - including career-high 131 rushing yards and two scores versus North Carolina A&T (Nov. 19). Passed for 240 yards and a touchdown against Grambling (Dec. 17) in Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl. Voted to Preseason All-MEAC First Team.Â
2015 - REDSHIRT JUNIOR SEASON
Started all 11 games at quarterback. Voted to All-MEAC Third Team. Averaged 190.0 yards of total offense per game to rank sixth in the conference. Completed 126-of-243 passes (51.9 percent) for 1,581 yards and eight touchdowns, while rushing for 509 yards and five touchdowns. Amassed season-best 320 yards of total offense at Howard (Nov. 14) with a season-high 292 yards and two touchdowns passing, along with 28 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Rushed for a season-high 101 yards at Florida A&M (Oct. 10). Voted First Team Preseason All-MEAC.Â
2014 - REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE SEASON
Voted Second Team All-MEAC. Played 11 games and started nine at quarterback. Passed for a career-high 1,982 yards with a league second-best 15 touchdowns and five interceptions, completing 177 of 286 passes. Rushed for a career-high 416 yards and five touchdowns, and totaled 2,398 yards of total offense. Ranked second in the MEAC in passing yards per game (180.4), passing efficiency (134.1) and total offense (218.2 yards per game). Threw a career-high three touchdowns and earned MEAC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice against Howard (Oct. 4) and Savannah State (Oct. 25). Threw for a season-high 337 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, going 25-of-36 against Charlotte (Sept. 13). Ran for a career-high 74 yards and one touchdown against North Carolina A&T (Nov. 22). Rushed for 72 yards and a career-high two scores against Savannah State (Oct. 25). Broke out for a 55-yard dash to the end zone at South Carolina State (Oct. 11).
2013 - REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON
Appeared in 8 games, including 2 as the starting quarterback (Savannah State; Bethune-Cookman). Completed 30-of-77 passes for 346 yards with 2 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. In first career start under center at Savannah State (Oct. 26), completed 14-of-30 passes for 174 yards with a touchdown, while running for 33 yards with a 6-yard touchdown scamper. Threw for 78 yards and a touchdown on 6-of-12 passing against Morgan State (Oct. 19).
OTHER
Named Offensive MVP of HBCU Spirit of America Bowl (Jan. 15, 2017), accounting for both touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 passing) to lead team to victory in all-star game.
On May 16, 2017, signed contract with Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League.

Born March 16, 1994, in Richmond, Virginia. Parents are Wayne and Barbara Bell. Graduated from NCCU on Dec. 10, 2016, with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
