Selected as the NCAA Division I-FCS Independent Preseason Defensive Player of the Year by Lindy’s Sports in its 2010 college football preview magazine. Named to All-Independent Team by Phil Steele’s 2010 College Football Preview magazine.

2009 - JUNIOR SEASON
Recipient of the Billy Coward Award as the overall team most valuable player. Topped the Eagles with 5.5 sacks and an astounding 13 quarterback hurries (more than three times the next highest Eagle). Placed second on the squad with 63 tackles and 10.0 hits for a loss. Also added an interception, 2 pass breakups, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. Started in all 11 games. Amassed season-high 12 tackles at nationally-ranked Liberty (Sept. 12). Collected 11 takedowns (6 solo), including 2.5 hits for a loss with 1.5 sacks, against Savannah State (Nov. 21), along with 5 quarterback hurries. Recorded 8 stops (5 solo), 2.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage, 1.5 sacks and his first career interception at Winston-Salem State (Nov. 14). Tallied 5 solo tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and 3 quarterback hurries at Hampton (Sept. 5). Named to All-Independent Team by Phil Steele’s 2009 College Football Preview magazine.

2008 - SOPHOMORE SEASON
Moved from defensive line to linebacker as a sophomore. Ranked seventh on the team with 40 tackles (15 solo). Topped Eagles with 6.0 sacks for 37 yards lost. Placed second on the squad with 9.5 hits for a loss of 45 yards. Added a team-high 6 quarterback hurries and a pass break-up. Recorded a season-high 9 tackles with an assisted sack and 3 quarterback hurries at Coastal Carolina (Oct. 18). Tallied 6 stops with a solo sack vs. Winston-Salem State (Nov. 15). Collected 5 tackles, including 2.0 hits for a loss and 1.5 sacks, vs. Fayetteville State (Aug. 31).

2007 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Earned a starting role on the defensive line as a rookie. Ranked fifth on the team with 48 total tackles (14 solo). Added 2.0 tackles for a loss of 8 yards, 2 quarterback hurries and a pass break-up. Recorded at least three tackles in every game of the season. Amassed season-high 7 takedowns (three solo) versus North Greenville (Oct. 13). Tallied 6 tackles against the Eagles two biggest rivals, North Carolina A&T (Sept. 22) and Winston-Salem State (Nov. 10).
