Mike McGlinchey joined the NCCU staff in 2009 as defensive line coach for the Eagles under head coach Mose Rison, and then switched to special teams coordinator and running backs coach in 2011 when Henry Frazier III became head coach.
Prior to NCCU, McGlinchey spent eight seasons as a running backs coach on the sidelines of his alma mater, Towson University. During his Towson tenure from 2001-08, he also served as the Tigers' video and recruiting coordinator, camp director and special teams coordinator.
A 1999 graduate of Towson University with a degree in Sports Studies, McGlinchey was a four-year letterwinner with the Tigers as an offensive guard and tight end. He earned Patriot League All-Academic Team recognition as a senior.
McGlinchey began his coaching career in March of 2000 as tight ends coach at the University of New Hampshire. After spending the spring with the Wildcats, he accepted a job as the tight ends coach with the Princeton University Tigers, where he spent the 2000 gridiron campaign.
