Crosby is the son of Bamberg-Ehrhardt head football coach Corey Crosby, who has played an instrumental role in shaping his development both on and off the field. Football runs deep in the Crosby family, as Chanston is also the cousin of former South Carolina Gamecocks standout tight end KC Crosby. This rich football lineage has provided Chanston with invaluable guidance and inspiration, helping him to excel under the Friday night lights.
During his high school career, Crosby showcased his leadership, poise, and athleticism, earning a reputation as a dual-threat quarterback capable of making plays through the air and on the ground. His highlights reflect a player with a high football IQ, exceptional decision-making skills, and the ability to perform in high-pressure situations.
