Biography

After three seasons (2019, 2021-22), ranks second on NCCU's all-time career passing list with 6,814 passing yards and 52 passing touchdowns, and second in career total offense with 8,210 total yards.

2022 - JUNIOR SEASON
  • Voted MEAC Offensive Player of the Year.
  • 7-time MEAC Offensive Player of the Week.
  • Named Offensive MVP of the Cricket Celebration Bowl, completing 15-of-20 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown, while adding 97 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, including the game-winning 1-yard run in overtime to beat No. 5 Jackson State, 41-34 (Dec. 17).
  • Led conference in passing yards (2,661), passing TDs (25), and rushing TDs (15).
  • Broke NCCU single-season records for pass completions (199), pass completion percentage (64.0%), and total offense (3,449), shattering the previous record by 441 yards.
  • Ranked fifth in the nation (NCAA Division I-FCS) in points responsible for with 244 points (25 passing TDs, 15 rushing TDs, 1 extra-point reception).
  • Passed for 347 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 48-14 win at Norfolk State (Nov. 12), to clinch NCCU's first MEAC championship in six years and earn the conference's bid to the Celebration Bowl. 
  • Ran for 140 yards (the most rushing yards by an NCCU quarterback in 23 years) and a touchdown, while throwing for 194 yards and two scores during NCCU's 45-27 road victory over No. 25 New Hampshire (Sept. 17).
  • Announced as a recipient of the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) 22nd annual Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
  • Selected as the BOXTOROW Impact Player of the Year.
  • Named as a finalist for the Stats Perform Walter Peyton Award, given annually to the best offensive player at the FCS level. 
  • Recognized as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
  • Played all 12 games; 11 as starting quarterback.
2021 - SOPHOMORE SEASON
  • Voted to All-MEAC Second Team.
  • Ranked second in the MEAC with 2,496 yards of total offense, an average of 226.9 total yards per contest.
  • Threw for 2,133 yards to become just the second quarterback in NCCU history to register more than 2,000 passing yards in consecutive seasons.
  • Completed 58.0% of his passes (177-for-305) and accounted for 23 total touchdowns (15 passing, 8 rushing).
  • Named the MEAC Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 25) after throwing four touchdown passes in a road win at Morgan State.
  • Selected as the Offensive MVP of the MEAC/SWAC Challenge, completing 16 of 25 passes for 184 yards and rushing for 64 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles 23-14 win over Alcorn State (Aug. 28).
  • Played all 11 games; 10 as starting quarterback.
2019 - FRESHMAN SEASON
  • Played in 11 games, serving as the starting quarterback in the final 10 games of the season as a true freshman.
  • Completed 169-of-326 passes (51.8%) for 2,020 yards and 12 touchdowns with 9 interceptions, while rushing for 245 yards (3.2 yards per carry) and 3 touchdowns.
  • Ranked fourth in the MEAC in passing, averaging 183.6 passing yards per game.
  • Became just the sixth quarterback in NCCU history to pass for more than 2,000 yards in a season (2,020 passing yards).
  • Honored twice as the MEAC Rookie of the Week (Sept. 23, Oct. 7)
  • Recognized as Honorable Mention STATS National Freshman Player of the Week after posting the sixth-best passing performance in school history vs. Norfolk State (Nov. 9), throwing for 384 yards and three touchdowns on 30-of-46 passing. The only other NCCU quarterback to pass for more yards in a game is Earl Harvey.
  • Selected MEAC Rookie of the Week and Honorable Mention STATS National Freshman Player of the Week (Oct. 7) after accounting for 260 total yards and three touchdowns at Florida A&M. Completed 16 of 35 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for a game-high 40 yards and a score.
  • Named MEAC co-Rookie of the Week and Honorable Mention STATS National Freshman Player of the Week (Sept. 23) after completing 17 of 24 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, while adding 34 yards rushing in a 45-7 win over Elizabeth City State.
  • In first college start at quarterback, threw for 242 yards on 23 of 46 passing at Gardner-Webb (Sept. 14).
GLADES CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
  • Named Palm Beach Area Offensive Player of the Year.
  • Passed for more than 3,200 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior.
