Biography

CAREER (2010-14):
Finished career with NCCU's third-lowest career scoring average (77.23).

AS A SENIOR (2013-14):
Played 17 rounds in seven events. Achieved a scoring average of 77.4 per round. Shot 3-over-par (73, 74) to tie for 14th place out of 98 golfers at the HBCU Hall of Fame Invitational (Sept. 28-29). 

AS A JUNIOR (2012-13):
Played 20 rounds in eight events. Recorded a scoring average of 77.7 per round. Shot a career-low, 2-under-par 70 in the second round of the MEAC Showcase (April 13-14), while adding scores of 74 and 74 to place fourth out of 29 golfers. Tied for ninth place at the Virginia State Trojan Fall Classic (Oct. 15-16).  

AS A SOPHOMORE (2011-12):
Played 20 rounds in eight events. Posted the fourth-best single-season scoring average in NCCU golf record books (76.55). Carded a two-day total score of 144, including a season-best 71, to won top medalist honors at the WSSU Spring Invitational. Recorded 17 out of 20 rounds in the 70s. Finished season with a record of 210-173 (.548).

AS A FRESHMAN (2010-11):
Played 18 rounds in eight events. Tallied a scoring average of 77.3 per round. Shot a season-low round of 72 (E) twice: at the Manor Intercollegiate on Sept. 13 and at the Florida A&M Spring Invitational on March 20. Posted a two-day total of 153 (+11) to tie for second place at the Winston-Salem State Ram Challenge on April 3. Recorded 13 rounds in the 70s. Finished season with a record of 198-106 (.651).

HIGH SCHOOL (Shelby):
Selected Conference Player of the Year and Team Most Valuable Player as a senior in 2009-10. Earned South Mountain Athletic Conference medalist honors. Attended state championships for three consecutive seasons. Team won conference title in 2010. Served as President of the Spanish Club.

OTHER AMATUER:
Teamed up with Champions Tour professional Russ Cochran to win the pro/junior title at the 2010 Home Care & Hospice First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, finishing a combined 21-under par (68-64-63). Jones participated as a representative of The First Tee of Cleveland County. Named National Junior Golf Association Player of the Year in the summer of 2008.
