Logged 6 takedowns, including a tackle for a loss, in final collegiate game versus Old Dominion (Nov. 20). Posted 5 tackles in a game three times – vs. Winston-Salem State (Sept. 11), vs. North Carolina A&T (Sept. 25) and vs. Bethune-Cookman (Oct. 23). Named to All-Independent Team by Phil Steele’s 2010 College Football Preview magazine. Voted to the 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team.
2009 - JUNIOR SEASON
Played in 10 games, all as a starter. Led team with 11.0 tackles for a loss. Tied for second with 2.0 sacks. Third on the squad with 59 tackles. Recorded 4 quarterback hurries and 2 pass breakups. Amassed season-best 11 tackles, including 3.0 hits for a loss with 1.5 sacks, versus Morehead State (Sept. 19). Collected 8 stops with 2.0 tackles for a loss against Savannah State (Nov. 21). Tallied 8 takedowns with 1.5 hits for a loss at North Carolina A&T (Oct. 3). Posted 6 tackles at Duke (Sept. 26). Achieved 6 stops with 1.5 hits for a loss at No. 9 Appalachian State (Oct. 10). Notched 5 or more tackles in eight games. Chosen as the FCS Independent Preseason Defensive Player of the Year by Lindy’s 2009 College Football Preview magazine and by Phil Steele’s 2009 College Football Preview magazine. Selected to the 2009 Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team. Voted to the 2009 CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team. Recipient of the LeRoy T. Walker Medallion of Honor as the 2009-10 NCCU Male Student-Athlete of the Year.
2008 - SOPHOMORE SEASON
Appeared in 11 games, all as a starter. Team’s fourth leading defender with 55 total tackles (28 solo). Most tackles among defensive linemen. Recorded team-high 11.0 tackles for a loss, setting the opposition back 38 yards. Third on the squad with 3.0 sacks (2 solo, 2 assisted) for a loss of 24 yards. Added a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Credited with at least 2 tackles in each of the Eagles’ 11 games. Amassed a season-high 8 takedowns twice with 8 tackles (5 solo), including a season-best 4.0 hits for a loss with a sack at Morgan State (Sept. 13), and 8 tackles (5 solo), including 1.5 hits for a loss with a sack at Presbyterian (Oct. 11). Posted 7 takedowns in a game twice with 7 tackles (6 solo) at No. 3 Cal Poly (Nov. 8), and 7 assisted tackles, including 1.5 hits for a loss and a sack vs. Winston-Salem State (Nov. 15).
2007 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Played in eight games. Collected 5 tackles (2 solo) in limited action as a freshman defensive lineman. Recorded season-best 3 tackles (1 solo) at Western Kentucky (Oct. 27). Tallied a solo takedown in his first college game at Albany State (Aug. 25). Posted an assisted tackle at Savannah State (Oct. 20).

Named All-Conference in football as a defensive lineman and middle linebacker at North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, N.C.. Also earned All-Conference honors in shot put and discus.
