DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central men's golf team travels to Jonesboro, Ark., for the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate at RidgePointe Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. Tee times are 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. eastern standard time on Monday while Tuesday's tee time is 9 a.m.
The Eagles will play in Arkansas for the first time as a Division I program. They will face 16 teams on the par 72, 6,676-yard course including host Arkansas State in the two-day, 54-hole event.
NCCU is led by standout golfers
Iszac Bertagnole and
Jamal Hutchison, who both earned co-medalist honors in the fall season. Bertagnole tied for first in the Ironwood Collegiate Classic last week and Hutchison tied for first in the Thomas W. Dortch Jr. HBCU Golf Classic two weeks ago.
Both golfers will head a five-man Eagles' unit featuring
Christian Fisher,
Mateo Zolezzi and
Nico Tucker. Ninety-eight competitors including two Memphis golfers are scheduled to participate.
