CARY, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University junior
Shaka Cristellotti earned his first singles victory of the season, however the Eagles men's tennis team fell to Hampton 4-1 inside the Cary Tennis Park on Thursday afternoon.
Cristellotti defeated Jeremiah Williams 6-2, 6-3 in the sixth position to claim the Eagles' lone point.

Sebastian Pino was tripped by Donte Armbrister (7-5, 3-6). Freshman
Naresh Bharathy was clipped by Daniel Flynn (6-3, 6-4), while freshman
Neiman Sneed was beaten by Emiliano Jorquera (6-3, 6-2).

Kareem Abdul Hakim and sophomore
Oliver Saarinen's singles competitions went unfinished against Eden Er and Ange-Kevin Koua, respectively.
In doubles action, Pino/Saarinen fell 7-5 to Flynn/Er, Abdul Hakim/Bharathy defeated Jorquera/Armbrister 6-4, and Cristellotti teamed up with freshman
Liam Murtaugh and was clipped by Williams/Koua 6-2.
Up next, NCCU (1-7) will host Eastern Kentucky tomorrow at the Cary Tennis Park at 2 p.m. before heading to Conway, South Carolina to battle Coastal Carolina on Saturday, March 4 at 2 p.m.
