DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will be trying to pick up its second straight road win when the Eagles visit UNC Wilmington in its last game before the holiday break on Thursday at 2 p.m.

NCCU BENCH
The Eagles are coming off a narrow 65-63 win at UNC Asheville on Monday for their first road triumph of the season. NC Central (4-7 Overall) will be playing the seventh of nine consecutive road games on Thursday against UNCW.
Senior Kimiera Burks (13.7 PPG) and freshman
Kyla Bryant (13.6 PPG) continue to lead NCCU in scoring. Burks is a top 3-point shooter, who is averaging 2.5 made treys per contest. Burks is having a stellar rookie campaign that includes scoring in double-digits in each of NCCU's last five games and leading an aggressive defense with 2.2 steals per game.
Freshman
Jada Tiggett tallied her first collegiate double-double in Monday's victory over the Bulldogs, netting team-best totals of 14 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Tiggett is averaging 8.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and a team-best 1.7 blocks per game.
Junior
Morgan Callahan leads the maroon and gray with 8.8 rebounds per game while averaging over 10 points per game, but she has missed two of NCCU's last three games. Senior
Tippy Robertson has started seven games and is contributing 6.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals and a team-best 3.6 assists per game.
NC Central will be playing UNCW for the first time in five years. The Seahawks held off the Eagles, 89-82, in that matchup on Nov. 20, 2018.
UNCW BENCH
The Seahawks have lost their last three games, including a 75-56 setback at Davidson College on Monday. UNCW (2-7 Overall) will be playing at home for the first time in December, ending a four-game road swing.
A trio of Seahawks are averaging over 10 points per game, including a team-best 13.2 points per game by freshman Taylor Henderson, who also is averaging over two steals and assists per contest. Senior Evan Miller is UNCW's top 3-point threat and is supplying an average of 12.2 points per game. Freshman Kylah Silver has been UNCW's top reserve, averaging 11.0 points per game.
Senior Lexi Jackson has been productive in the paint for the Seahawks, leading the squad with 8.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game while adding 5.1 points per game (but she has missed UNCW's last two games).
