CARY, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University men's tennis team won all six contested matches in rolling to a 7-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory over Coppin State University on Friday morning at the MEAC Round-Up at the Cary Tennis Park.

Miles Clark,
Sebastian Pino and
Amit Baran all joined freshman
Oliver Saarinen in winning both their singles and doubles matches.
NCCU improved to 3-11 on the season and 1-1 in league tilts. Coppin State dipped to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in conference skirmishes.
Clark and Baran won their fourth consecutive doubles match together while Pino and Saarinen have won for a third straight time as partners. Clark/Baran (4-5) won 6-2 and Pino/Saarinen (5-6) were triumphant by a 6-3 margin to provide the maroon and gray the initial 1-nil advantage.
Clark (5-8) won for a team-leading fifth time atop NCCU's lineup. The two-time MEAC Player of the Week this season posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory over junior Luka Markovic.
Pino won for second-straight day on court two for the NCCU Eagles. Pino (4-9) prevailed 6-1, 6-2 over junior Dean Waterman.
Baran (2-12) played the only three-set affair of the match at the third position in the lineup, outlasting senior Sergiu Medesan in superset tiebreaker for the deciding set victory. Baran edged Medesan by a tally of 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6).
Saarinen (3-11) played the tightest two-set match of the morning before claiming his No. 4 singles conquest of sophomore Vansh Kapoor. Saarinen won those sets by scores of 7-6 (7-4) and 6-4.
NC Central will conclude its play in the MEAC Round-Up with a noon match against Morgan State University on Saturday at the Cary Tennis Park.
