DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University freshman guard
Diamond Thomas scored a team-high 19 points, but the visiting Bears of Morgan State University shot better than 51% from the field and 46% from long distance to capture a 79-63 road victory inside McDougald-McLendon Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Morgan State (9-6, 3-2 MEAC) jumped out to a 12-2 advantage and led by as much as 18 points in a wire-to-wire win. Adia Brisker topped the Bears with 21 points and seven rebounds, shooting 6 of 12 from the floor, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range. Ashia McCalla contributed 17 points and Charlene Shepherd added 14 points, six boards and two blocked shots.

Kira Lowery chipped in 16 points for NCCU (2-14, 1-6 MEAC).
