Charlie Brooks, DL, 6-2, 270, Chicago, Ill. (Iowa Western CC)
Transferred from Iowa Western Community College. As a freshman in 2019 at Eastern Illinois University (EIU), played in 10 games, including two as a starter, seeing time on the defensive line and on special teams. Finished season with 15 total tackles (six solo), including 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. As a defensive end at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, helped team reach the IHSA Class 8A quarterfinals as a senior with team earning a 10-2 record. Finished season with 44 tackles, including seven sacks, while adding four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.

In 2019 at Bowling Green State University, played in 10 games, starting all 10 times. Finished the season with 42 total tackles, including 32 solo tackles, and 1.0 tackle for loss, with four pass break-ups. Tallied a career-high eight tackles, including five solo tackles, in a game against Central Michigan. Made seven tackles, including five solo tackles, and had one pass break-up at Notre Dame. Recorded six tackles, including four solo tackles, and had one pass break-up in a victory over Toledo. Collected five solo tackles and one pass break-up in a game at Kansas State. At Camden High School, selected All-South Jersey Football second team. Named West Jersey Football League first team all-league in the Constitution Division. Posted six interceptions in 2018. Team won the West Jersey Football League Constitution Division championship. Team earned the No. 2 seed for the NJSIAA playoffs, advancing to the finals and finishing the year with a 10-2 record. Defeated Collingswood 48-0 in the first round, scoring two touchdowns on a blocked punt recovery and a rushing score.

Rushed for 278 yards and 5 touchdowns against Panther Creek in the first round of the 4AA State Playoffs (Nov 15, 2019). Named 2019 Northern Athletic Conference IV Offensive Player of the Year. Earned 2019 Team MVP and Rolesville High School's Most Outstanding Player awards. In 2019, team averaged nearly 40 points per game, amassed 10 victories, and advanced to the NCHSAA 4AA state playoffs second round for the first time ever.
