NC CENTRAL BENCH:

The Eagles conclude their season-long, eight-game road swing to start the season with their short trip over to Greensboro. NCCU (0-7) has lost its first seven road games and is coming off a 75-34 loss at East Carolina University on Monday.

Senior guard Necole Hope – a Preseason All-MEAC selection – has scored in double digits in each of NCCU's last four games and she leads the maroon and gray with an average of 12 points per game, which ranks third in the MEAC.

Redshirt sophomore forward Tianna Carter and freshman Diamond Thomas follow with 9.7 and 9.0 points per game, respectively. Carter, who missed NCCU's last game, leads the Eagles with 6.2 rebounds per game. Thomas is ninth in the MEAC with 1.3 made 3-pointers per contest.

A couple of letter winners have also been contributing regularly, including senior forward Ashlyn Lockard and sophomore guard Paris McBride. Lockard is contributing 6.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest while McBride is third in the league with 2.7 assists per game.

N.C. A&T BENCH:

The Aggies picked up their first win of the season with an 86-46 home victory over South Carolina State University on Saturday. N.C. A&T (1-6), a long-time league member of the Eagles and the 2020-21 MEAC Women's Basketball Tournament champions, is in its first season in the Big South Conference.

Fifth-year senior guard Chanin Scott is leading the Aggies with averages of 12.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. Scott, who transferred to A&T after playing three seasons at Georgia Tech, was a First Team All-MEAC honoree last year. Scott has three double-doubles on the season.
