DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will tune-up for the 2016 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament with a league showdown at archrival North Carolina A&T State University on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Fans who cannot attend the game in the Corbett Sports Center, can listen to the MEAC showdown on the NCCU Sports Network, with
Jonathan Duren on the air for the play-by-play. North Carolina A&T will also provide video.

NCAT (15-11, 10-4) had a five-game win streak come to an end in a 65-41 road loss at Bethune-Cookman on Monday. The Aggies and Wildcats are in a three-way tie for first place in the MEAC standings with Hampton going into the final regular season games of the season on Thursday. North Carolina A&T is the preseason favorite in the league and is led by Senior Aprill McRae, who is a two-time All-MEAC selection. McRae is shooting 51.9-percent from the field and averaging 12.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest. Junior Dana Brown pours in 11.0 points and sophomore Kala Green buckets 9.7 points per game. Senior Christina Carter chips in 7.7 points and 3.9 assists.
