DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central University racked up 20 hits and blasted five home runs to complete a 6-0 and 13-4 doubleheader sweep of fellow Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference member University of Maryland Eastern Shore on Thursday afternoon at Parkwood Athletic Field.
Junior second baseman
Jenny Tracy connected for a home run in each contest, including a walk-off shot in the nightcap, to pace the Lady Eagles to the sweep of the Hawks for a second straight year.
NCCU (3-22 Overall) is 3-2 at home and will next host Gardner-Webb University on Tuesday at 3 p.m. (DH). UMES had its record stumble to 5-13.

Aleyah Evans drilled a three-run home run to supply junior starter
Jennifer Allison with plenty of run support as NCCU blanked the Hawks.
Allison tossed her first shutout in a Maroon and Gray uniform. Allison (1-9) only allowed five hits in her seven innings of work and she struck out five on her way to the victory.
Tracy launched her solo shot in the first before NCCU tacked on five runs in the third. A double by senior

Kayleigh Brueck drove in the Lady Eagles first two runs in the big inning before Evans launched her three-run rocket over the left field fence.
Evans long ball was her first collegiate home run.
NCCU finished with an 8-5 hit advantage with Evans, Brueck and sophomore
Danyelle Noland all hitting safely two times apiece.
GAME TWO: N.C. Central 13, Maryland Eastern Shore 4 (Five Innings) Junior
Dominique Wilson crushed a grand slam to highlight an eight-run fourth inning before Tracy tagged her walk-off, two-run homer with one out in the fifth as NCCU rallied from a couple early deficits to run-rule UMES.
The Hawks scored first but a two-run canyon by Brueck catapulted the Lady Eagles ahead, 2-1, in the second.
A three-run third put the visitors back ahead, 4-2. UMES had nine hits in the first three innings but then was held without a base knock over the final three frames, including Wilson's first appearance in the circle in nearly a month in a scoreless fifth inning.
The Lady Eagles sent 12 batters to the plate in the fourth to take control. Wilson smashed her grand slam to the outfield yard just right of straightaway center. Wilson leads NCCU with 10 RBI. Noland also drove in a run in the surge and freshman
Janeen Reynolds started the rally by scoring after drawing a one-out walk and then later added a two-run double in the left field gap to finish off the innings output.
Tracy ended the contest an inning later with her two-run round tripper to center. Brueck and Tracy lead NCCU with two home runs each.
Eight NCCU batters hit safely in the nine-run victory, including a pair of hits off the bats of Tracy, Noland, Wilson, Evans and senior
Markell Wylie.
Wylie scored a team-high three runs from the leadoff position.
Senior
London Booker picked up her second straight home win. Booker (2-9) hurled four innings and allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits. She collected half of her 12 outs with strikeouts.
