DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will play a pair of teams at home in just under a 48-hour span when the Lady Eagles entertain UNCG on Sunday at 6 p.m. and Presbyterian College on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
NCCU will be providing a video webcast of both games with NCCU Sports Network broadcaster Mike Wood on the air with the play-by-play. A free audio webcast and live stats will also be available for both contests. Fans can follow NCCU women's basketball all season by visiting

N.C. Central Women's Basketball
The Lady Eagles have lost five straight games and are coming off an 83-33 road loss at North Carolina State University on Wednesday. NCCU (1-7 Overall) is 1-2 at home.
A pair of guards are pacing the Lady Eagles in the scoring department with both freshman
Jada Blow and
Morgan Jones both supplying nine points per game. Blow, who also leads NCCU with 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game, and Jones, who has scored in double figures in 4 of 8 games this season, are both averaging over one made 3-pointer per contest.
The sophomore duo of
Dominique Adams and
Deja McCain are each supplying an average of 6.3 points per game. Adams is NCCU's top rebounder at 5.3 rebounds per contest and McCain follows at 4.6 boards per game.
Junior forward
Kierona Morton has started all eight games and is providing 3.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Senior guards
Chantal Thomas and
Monique Whaley-Briggs have shared the starting point guard role.
NCCU played both UNCG and Presbyterian on the road last season. The Lady Eagles lost to the Spartans in Greensboro, North Carolina, by a final score of 103-56 and the Blue Hose in Clinton, South Carolina, by a score of 60-50.
UNCG Women's Basketball
The Spartans have lost four of their last five games, including a narrow 69-62 home loss to Presbyterian on Thursday to dip below .500 at 5-6 overall.
Freshman guard Nadine Soliman has taking as UNCG's dominate scorer. She is averaging 17.2 points per game, including over two made 3-pointers per contest. Another freshman in forward Te'ja Twitty leads the Spartans with 7.4 rebounds per game while ranking second on the team with 9.9 points per contest. Classmate Alexis Pitchford orchestrates UNCG's offense with 4.5 assists per game.
UNCG is 6-0 all-time against NCCU after knocking off the Lady Eagles by 47 points last season on New Year's Eve. The senior trio of Bailey Williams (8.6 ppg), Shanese Harris (7.6 ppg) and India Timpton (2.5 ppg) all scored in double figures in that triumph.
Presbyterian Women's Basketball
The Blue Hose seven-point win, 69-62, at UNCG on Thursday was the squad's first victory of the season. Presbyterian (1-7 overall) has been road warriors during non-conference play, having already played games in five states and one contest in Puerto Rico.
Junior Cortney Storey, who was the Big South Conference Freshman of the Year two years ago, leads the Blue Hose in most statistical categories with her 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game and nearly recorded a triple-double last week with 19 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds against the Spartans.
Classmate Janie Miles also scores in double figures for PC, bucketing 10.4 points per game. Sophomore Taylor Petty, who chipping in 8.4 points per game, is coming off a 25-point performance against UNCG.
Miles and Storey led Presbyterian to the 10-point win over NCCU last season with 10 and nine points, respectively. The Blue Hose are 4-3 all-time against the Lady Eagles.
