DURHAM, N.C. – Sixty-one students representing the Department of Athletics graduated from North Carolina Central University during spring commencement exercises on Friday and Saturday (May 8-9).
 
Of the 61 graduates, 44 are student-athletes and 17 are team managers and athletic training students.
 
Twenty-eight of the 61 degree recipients – 46 percent – completed their academic coursework with a grade point average above a 3.0, including a perfect 4.0 GPA by women's tennis graduate Ekaterina Nekrasova, who journeyed to NCCU from Severodvinsk, Russia to earn a degree in business administration.
