DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team will tip-off its 2015-2016 campaign at home in the newly renovated McDougald-McLendon Arena Monday evening in a non-conference clash against in-state foe Campbell University at 6 p.m.

LIVE STATS NCCU will begin its fourth season under head coach
Vanessa Taylor with a young team as only one of five starters return from last season in
Morgan Jones. The Lady Eagles have nine newcomers, including seven freshmen and two transfers (
Chantal Thomas,
Tyshay Britten).
Tisha Dixon, a 2013 MEAC All-Rookie Team honoree, is NCCU's lone four-year letter winner. Jones scored 14 points against the Camels in last year's showdown in Buies Creek. NCCU was 6-7 at home last season.
CAMPBELL was upset in its season opener, losing 67-62 at home o NCAA Division II member UNC Pembroke on Friday. Junior forward Amanda Coffer and senior guard RaeChaun Edwards scored 58% of the teams points with 18 points apiece. Coffer completed a double-double with 12 rebounds. Campbell shot 33% from the field and just 42% from the free throw line. Coffer scored 16 points and Edwards dished out 10 assists in the Camels win over NCCU last season.
