DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women's basketball team hosts Wofford College on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. inside McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium for the Lady Eagles' final non-conference game of the season. Admission is free.
NCCU (2-11) and Wofford (3-10) have played two common opponents this season, with both teams losing to Gardner-Webb and each defeating UNC Asheville. For comparison, NCCU beat UNC Asheville 55-52 when the Lady Eagles closed the game by scoring to final 19 points to erase a 16-point deficit, while Wofford won 70-52. The Terriers suffered a 65-60 setback to Gardner-Webb, while the Lady Eagles fell by a score of 73-53.
Wofford has also played a squad that NCCU fans are familiar with in MEAC foe South Carolina State. The Terriers dropped that contest in overtime, 59-53.
Historically, Wofford leads the series with NCCU, 2-1, although the Lady Eagles got the better of the Terriers last season. On Nov. 30, 2013, NCCU used a late first-half surge to earn a 53-44 road win in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In Wofford's last trip to Durham on Nov. 26, 2012, the Terriers beat the Lady Eagles 50-39.

NCCU restarts league play in the MEAC on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. against South Carolina State inside McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium.
