DAVIS ON THE DOUBLE

Junior Racquel Davis has collected six double-doubles this season (at Presbyterian, at South Florida, vs. Gardner-Webb and vs. Western Carolina, at Florida A&M and at Bethune-Cookman), averaging a team second-best 13.4 points and a team-best 8.6 rebounds per contest.

Davis earned a season-best 15 rebounds at Presbyterian (Nov. 14) and 27 points at Florida A&M (Jan. 11).

NCCU redshirt senior guard Jessica Freeman averages 13.9 points per game, shooting 78-for-232 from the field (.336), 35-for-105 from behind the arc (.333) and 32-for-40 from the free throw line (.800). She also leads the team in assists (35) and steals (44).

Freeman has scored in double-figures during 11 of the teams 16 match-ups this season and earned a season-high 26 on Dec. 19 during a 73-69 victory over Western Carolina.

NCCU collected its second MEAC victory during the Lady Eagle's (7-9, 2-1 MEAC) best shooting performance of the season, as NCCU defeated the Delaware State Hornets (4-14, 0-5) for the first time in school history, 75-61 on Saturday, Jan. 18 inside McDougald-McLendon Gym.

Junior Khyra Conerly earned her first double-double of the season as she shot 7-for-11 from the field and 1-for-2 from the charity stripe, collecting 15 points while pulling down a season-best 10 rebounds.

In addition to Conerly, offensively, the Lady Eagles were led by redshirt senior Jessica Freeman who scored her fourth game with 20+ points, earning a team-best 21. Freeman shot 8-for-13 from the field and 5-for-9 from behind the arc while on the defensive end, sophomore Tisha Dixon dominated on the glass pulling down a season-best 17 boards and added seven points.

The Aggies enter Wednesday's contest coming off a 50-47 victory at home versus Delaware State on Monday, Jan. 20.

As a team, the Aggies are limiting their opponents to a MEAC-best 55.9 points per game, while sitting second (65.9 ppg) behind Hampton and Florida A&M in scoring offense. Leading A&T's balanced offensive attack is Tracy King (12.7 ppg) and Christina Carter (11.6 ppg), whereas four other players averaging at least seven points per contest.
