DURHAM, N.C. - The North Carolina Central University softball doubleheader scheduled for today against East Tennessee State University at Riverside High School has been postponed due to a torrential downpour and severe thunderstorms that blanketed the Raleigh-Durham area.

NCCU was scheduled to host East Tennessee State in their final home game of the 2010 season on Wednesday before concluding their season on Saturday against rival North Carolina A&T State University. The game was designated as Senior Night as Desanbra Franklin, Michelle Ishida and Kristen Schooler were to be honored.

The game has been rescheduled for Friday, April 23, where NCCU will host East Tennessee State in a doubleheader at the Thomas Brooks Athletic Complex in Cary, N.C. Friday will be Senior Night as the Lady Eagles conclude their 2010 home schedule. Game times are set for noon and 2 p.m.
