NCCU ATHLETICS INTRODUCES "EAGLE TALK"

DURHAM, N.C. (www.NCCUEaglePride.com)- The North Carolina Central University Department of Athletics introduces a brand-new 30-minute weekly talk-show, "Eagle Talk," dedicated to give an inside look at all 14 intercollegiate sports at NCCU. The show will air on the WRJD Rejoice 1410 AM every Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Chris Hooks, play-by-play voice of the NCCU Sports Network, will host the show bringing on various coaches and student-athletes at NCCU.

"This is just another step that the athletics department is taking to continue our growth," said Director of Athletics, Dr. Ingrid Wicker-MCcree. "Each and every team and student-athlete has stories to tell and it's our job to get the word out and allow the fans to get that inside glimpse of North Carolina Central University. This is just another example of how we can spread the news of our athletics department."

Linda Greenwood, General Manager of Durham-based radio station Rejoice 1410 AM, shared the same sentiment. "We're very excited to have North Carolina Central University's athletics department doing "Eagle Talk" on our station. It's another way for us to grow this partnership and this will be a very vaulable source of information, not only for Eagle fans, but for the community of Durham as well."

The show will also be interactive. If Eagle Fans may submit questions via e-mail if you'd like to have then answered live on-air, you can e-mail them to whooks@nccu.edu.

For listeners outside the Durham area, the show will streamed online at NCCUEaglePride.com, and will be archived for those who missed the live show and want to tune in later.
