In the extra frame, the Lady Aggies put up three runs while the Lady Eagles could only get one run across the board falling in the continued ballgame from April 2 11-9.
In the doubleheader, NCCU fell behind 5-0 after the second inning, and could not recover dropping a 10-1 decision after five innings.
The Lady Eagles and Lady Aggies saved the best for last in game two of the twinbill. A&T struck first with a run in the second inning, and the Eagles battled right back to score a run in the third thanks to singles by junior Michelle Ishida, and freshman Andrea Searls to knot the ballgame up at 1-1.
The fourth inning proved to be the visiting Eagles undoing as the Lady Aggies plated two runs to pull ahead 3-1.
NCCU did everything it could to tie the ballgame up, but a few missed opportunities down the stretch including a bases loaded threat in the fifth inning and scored just one more run falling in the final game of the season 3-2.
