AGGIE/EAGLE RIVALRY HITS THE DIAMOND TONIGHT

DURHAM, N.C.- The North Carolina Central University baseball team takes on its long time rival North Carolina A&T State University for a "Monday Night Showdown" at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. First pitch set for 6:00 p.m.

Tonight's contest marks the first time these two teams will meet on the baseball diamond since NCCU made the move to the Division I level. This game was originally scheduled for Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. but, due to wet playing conditions at the DBAP the game had to be rescheduled.

This game could not come at a better time for the Eagles (3-11) who are riding a six-game losing streak and coming off a tough weekend sweep at the hands of Savannah State. Head Coach Dr. Henry White fully believes a win tonight could get NCCU going in the right direction, "You can throw records out the window in this one," said White. "We have to come out with our emotions in check, but if we execute offensively and defensively like I know we can, we can get some positive momentum going at this point in the season."

The Eagle Nation is encouraged to make the trip to the DBAP to show their support tonight. Admission is free.
