DOVER, DE - The Lady Eagles of North Carolina Central University completed their two-day trip and took on the Hornets of Delaware State University, losing both games 10-2.

The Lady Eagles had an advantage in the top of the first as Michelle Ishida advance to third and Jessica Refojo advance to second. NCCU next two batters went 0-2, and left the two runners stranded.

The Hornets got on the board first as Breanne Parr scored on a RBI single from JoJo Shields.

It was a quick one, two, and three for the Lady Eagles in the second and third innings, DSU, scored three runs in the third to extend the lead to 5-0.

NCCU however got on the board in the fourth inning. A single by Desanbra Franklin and Ashanti Stroud place the two runners on base. An error by the shortstop scored Franklin to cut the deficit to 5-1. Stroud scored on a grounder from April Boone but was called out at first.

The Hornets scored four more runs in the fifth and final inning to end the game with a score of 10-2.

In game two, the Lady Eagles took the early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning, by Sophia Blue who started the inning with a double and advance to third on an error by the shortstop.

Desanbra Franklin RBI single scored Jessica Refojo to give the Lady Eagles the 2-0 lead.

The lead didn't hold long as the Hornets tied the game on an Andrea Waters triple that scored Carroll and then Waters scored on an error.

DSU then added two runs in the third inning, three in the fifth and final inning to capture the 10-2 win.
