Final Stats

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - North Carolina Central University women's tennis defeated Winston-Salem State University, 7-0. The Lady Eagles swept all six singles matches and three doubles matches on Sunday afternoon.

Lady Eagles overmatched the Lady Rams in all six singles matches. Kateryna Chorna, the No. 1 singles easily defeats Shannon Loughnan, 6-0, 6-1. The No. 2 singles Ashley Rogers won her match 6-1, 4-1 (ret.).

Other NCCU winners included Tatiana Velasquez, Martisann Sinclair, Antionette Spain, and Ashley McRae. WSSU scored five points in the six singles matches.

NCCU double teams swept WSSU 8-0 in the second and third doubles matches. The doubles team of Kateryna Chorna/Ashley Rogers and allowed WSSU to score one point in the match.
