CHAPEL HILL, NC - The North Carolina Central University men's tennis opens the 2009 season against 20th ranked Tar Heels of North Carolina, losing 7-0 on Tuesday evening.
For the second straight match, the Tar Heels lost only six total games in doubles.
The No.1 Doubles team of Alejandro Espitia/Jack Waissen took Clay Donato/Taylor Fogleman to the wire but fell 8-3. The No. 2 Doubles team of Trey Chatman and Andres Perez won two games against Andrew Crone/ Zach Hunter
The Tar Heel team of Luke Mojica and Alex Rafiee that led the doubles sweep, losing only one game to NCCU's Jermaine Byrd and Jose Fabara.
Singles was more of the same for Carolina, as each of their six players won in straight sets. Brennan Boyajian and Kyle Baker led the charge, each winning 6-0, 6-0.
