NCCU ATHLETICS, WRJD 1410 AM SET TO BROADCAST EAGLES FOOTBALL

DURHAM, N.C. - The North Carolina Central University Sports Network will make its season debut on Sunday (Aug. 31) at 3:30 p.m. for the Labor Day Classic between NCCU and Fayetteville State University inside O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium in Durham, N.C.

For the second straight season, NCCU Athletics partners with WRJD 1410 AM to broadcast every Eagles football, along with men's and women's basketball and other various sporting events throughout the 2008-09 campaign.

Chris Hooks will be calling the action on the NCCU Sports Network for his first football season, although he got his start with Eagles Athletics back in January.

During the football season, tune in 30 minutes prior to each kickoff for "Eagle Gameday" where Hooks and the rest of the network crew will get listeners ready for the ballgame.

NCCU head football coach Mose Rison along with various other student-athletes and coaches will be featured during the broadcasts for what is expected to be the most challenging season in the Eagles gridiron history.

On Sunday the pregame show starts at 3:30 p.m., as Hooks and color analyst Sedrick Dickens breakdown the Eagles and their old CIAA foe Fayetteville State. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.

The broadcast will also be available through an internet audio stream at www.NCCUEaglePride.com.
