FARMVILLE, Va. - Two North Carolina Central University baseball student-athletes, outfielder Tim McAllister and second baseman Kurt Wilson, have been named to the 2008 NCAA Division I Independent Baseball All-Academic Team.
McAllister, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., is an Elementary Education major maintaining a 3.39 grade point average.
Wilson, a sophomore from Riverdale, Ga., maintains a 3.41 GPA as a Mathematics major.
To be eligible, the student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore in academic standing and a starter or key reserve of their respective baseball program.
The two Eagles were selected to represent NCCU along with 30 other student-athletes from the Division I Independents.
