NCCU'S STENNETT, McALLISTER SELECTED FOR NCAA DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

INDIANAPOLIS - North Carolina Central University student-athletes Naima Stennett and Tim McAllister have been selected to participate in the NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference to be held May 25-29 at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Naima Stennett, a rising junior volleyball outside hitter and Biology major from Kingston, Jamaica, will attend the first session from May 25-27.

Tim McAllister, a rising junior baseball outfielder and Elementary Education major from Raleigh, N.C., will participate in the second session from May 27-29.

The duo was among 700 student-athletes chosen to participate in the national conference from 1,840 nominations from NCAA Division I, II and III institutions.

The NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference provides NCAA student-athletes with a forum to openly discuss issues that may affect them on their campuses and in their communities, while also providing them with the opportunity to enhance their leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

The conference also promotes better communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and communities.
