HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - North Carolina Central University's Trey Chatman and Bryan Jackson went undefeated in the final two days of the Hilton Head Invitational, helping the Eagles to victory over Defiance College.

NCCU (2-8) suffered a 5-2 setback to Missouri Valley University on Wednesday, but followed the loss up with a 6-3 win over Defiance on Thursday.

Both Chatman and Jackson won their No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches, respectively, and teamed up for No. 1 doubles victories on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Thursday against Defiance, John Stephenson and Stephen Allsop also won their singles matches and joined forces to claim victory in doubles play, as well.

NCCU returns to action on Thursday, March 20, at UNC Wilmington.
