WILBERFORCE, OHIO -- North Carolina Central University scored a season-low 28 points, including only nine points in the second half, as Central State University cruised to a 50-28 women's basketball victory on Wednesday night in Wilberforce, Ohio.
After trailing by only one-point (20-19) at the half, NCCU shot just 4-for-25 from the field, including just 1-of-8 from long range, and did not make a trip to the free throw line in the final 20 minutes. The Lady Eagles also committed 16 of their 26 turnovers after intermission.
Sophomore forward Latoya Bennett topped NCCU (4-20) with 10 points and seven rebounds. Only four Lady Eagles scored on the night for the visitors.
Central State (10-10) was led by Mahogany Wilson with a game-high 13 points, while Natasha Galloway recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.
