The Lady Eagles suffered a double-header sweep at the hands of Mount Olive College on Wednesday afternoon. Mount Olive defeated NCCU 7-2 in game one, and followed that up with a 10-2 win in game two.

In game one, the Lady Eagles fell behind by a 5-0 deficit in the third inning. Meanwhile, the Lady Trojans added two runs in the fourth to put things away. NCCU committed two errors in the contest and managed only six hits.

Ashanti Stroud had two hits for NCCU and scored a run, but it was not enough to help the Lady Eagles as they fell to the Lady Trojans by a final score of 7-2. Kristen Schooler pitched seven innings and struck out three in the loss.

Mount Olive's Jenny Jackson pitched seven innings and struck out 10 batters to earn the victory.

The second game was a different story. NCCU never got started offensively. Mount Olive pitcher Jenny Jackson surrendered only five hits and struck out nine.

The Lady Trojans got out of the gate quickly and never looked back. MOC put up one run in each of the first three innings, four in the fourth, two in the fifth, and one in the seventh.

NCCU's only two runs came in the bottom of the third when Sophia Blue scored from a double by Michelle Ishida, and Kristina Delgado scored on a stolen base.
