HAMPTON, VA - North Carolina Central University head baseball coach Henry White has been voted as the 2007 CIAA Baseball Coach of the Year, as chosen by the league's head coaches.

White, who completed his 22nd season as a college head coach, guided NCCU to the conference regular-season title in the school's first season of baseball since 1975.

With a squad consisting of 11 freshmen, four sophomores, three juniors and one senior, White led the Eagles to a conference record of 15-5 and an overall record of 21-24.

White will be presented with his award at the Annual CIAA Coach of the Year Luncheon on Tuesday, May 22 at the Durham Marriott at the Civic Center in Durham, N.C.
