North Carolina Central University Director of Athletics, Dr. Ingrid Wicker-McCree, made the initial cut into a Thanksgiving turkey for the first time in her life on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The occasion was a lunch hosted by the Eagles Athletics Department as a way of giving thanks to individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty to help in the development of NCCU student-athletes.

Invited guests included volunteers and NCCU staff from various departments on campus who are instrumental in the daily operations of providing our student-athletes the very best.

The luncheon was catered by Up In Smoke catering company, owned by Tyrone Irby. In addition to enjoying the meal and good company, those in attendance participated in NCCU trivia games, served up by LuAnn Edmonds-Harris.

"We had a blast!" said Wicker-McCree, who plans on making this an annual event.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!
