LADY EAGLES COMPETE IN SEASON OPENER

MILLSBORO, DE - The North Carolina Central University women's bowling opened up their 2008-2009 season participating in the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawk Classic in Millsboro, Delaware this past weekend.

Playing in her first collegiate competition, freshmen Amber Campbell bowled a team high game of 195 followed by freshman Lindsey Green with a high game of 191.

Campbell placed 38th in the individual standings with an average of 166.33, followed by sophomore Elizabeth Schuster in 39th with a pin fall average of 165.67, Lindsey Green, (44th, 163.00), LaTia Blacknell, (60th, 151.17), and Ashley Lofton, (67th, 145.33).

The Lady Eagles finished the three day tournament with an even record of 9-9, placing 14th out of 20 teams.

Next competition for the Lady Eagles will be the Jeanette Lee Invitational in Lawrenceville, VA on Dec. 6.
