Final Stats
DURHAM, NC - Norfolk State University volleyball team defeated North Carolina Central University wednesday night in the L.T. Walker Complex. The Spartans won the match 25-21, 25-18, and 25-23.
NCCU kept it close in each of the three sets, but could not overcome NSU's accurate hitting. In the third and final set, NSU took control and led the entire way. The Eagles tried to find some momentum, but the Spartan pulled away for the third set victory.
Norfolk State, which improved to 8-21 on the season, was led by Elayne Greere's seven kills and Breanna Allums's six kills.
As a team, the Spartans recorded 31 kills on 94 attempts and committed 24 errors. The Eagles finished with 27 kills on 92 attempts and had 23 errors.
Nadia Hayes totaled six kills and Shantel Moore, Avaniki Campbell and Maritsann Sinclair each added four kills, but it wasn't enough for the Eagles who fell to 4-23.
