THE GAME: After an eight-day break for final exams, North Carolina Central University travels to the coast to play the Seahawks of UNC Wilmington for the first time... The Seahawks compete in the Colonial Athletic Association... UNCW has four starters that average double-figures in scoring per game... This is the Eagles' 12th road game of the season and NCCU does not return home until Dec. 29.

THE SERIES: This will be the first meeting between the Seahawks of UNC Wilmington and the Eagles of North Carolina Central University.

UP NEXT: The Eagles play at Western Kentucky on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. (CT). On Tuesday, the Eagles will play in their seventh different state (New Jersey, Florida, North Dakota, Maryland, Iowa, Ohio, Kentucky) since their first road game on Nov. 12. Following that game, NCCU travels to Nebraska to play Creighton (Dec. 20) and Nebraska (Dec. 22).

THE COACHES: Henry Dickerson (Morris Harvey, 1973) is in his fourth season as head coach at North Carolina Central and enters the contest with a 40-56 record at NCCU and a 112-129 career record. Dickerson arrived at N.C. Central in 2004-05 after a five-year stint as head coach at Tennessee-Chattanooga, where he was 72-73 and won two Southern Conference divisional titles from 1997-2002. He also served as associate head coach at Chattanooga from 1989-97, and held assistant coaching positions at Marshall from 1983-89 and Charleston from 1979-83.

UNC Wilmington head coach Benny Moss (UNC Charlotte, 1992) is in his second season with the Seahawks, owning a 13-25 record in that time. After serving as an assistant coach at Pfeiffer, Phillips, Henderson State and UNC Charlotte, Moss coached UNCW to a 7-22 record in his first season.
