Final Stats

DURHAM, NC - The North Carolina Central University Eagles saw their four-game winning streak come to an end as they fell to the Lady Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Friday evening, 3-0 (19-30, 24-30, 31-29, and 23-30). This marks NCCU's first loss against a MEAC opponent this season.

NCCU was led by Shari Matthews, who pounded out 17 kills. Teammates Kai Wright and Anielle DaSilva each contributed 12 and 10 respectivly for the Eagles.

On the second day of a three-game trip, the Eagles fell to the Lady Bears of Morgan State 3-0 (22-30, 22-30, and 24-30).

Matthews led the Eagles with eight kills, while Naima Stennett and DaSilva each had seven kills.
