Ted Manning was a seasonal leader in every category during his playing years at North Carolina College under Floyd Brown's tutelage. He led in total points in 1964-65 and in 1965-66; in scoring average in 1964-65 and 65-66 (33 points a game in 64-65; his 25.2 points per game in 65-66 is still enough to top any Eagle player since 1952). His field goal percentage in 1963-64 was 41.2; he topped that performance with a percentage of 50 per cent in 1964-65. He had three straight years of leadership in rebounding, rebounding average, and on the minus side in personal fouls, with 85 in 62-63, 87 in 63-64, and 77 in 64-65.
