Robert McAdams was a lineman on two CIAA Championship football teams in 1956 and 1961. He received honorable mention in the All-CIAA selections as well as the All-American selections.  He was selected to play in the High School Shrine Bowl.

In 1963, Robert was drafted by the New York Giants.  He went on to play Defensive Tackle for the New York Jets from 1963-64. He also spent three seasons as a player/coach with the Orlando Panthers of the Continental Football League.
