North Carolina Central University Athletics

Mary Jerman Boyd played on the North Carolina College women's basket­ball team from 1936 to 1940, when she earned her bachelor of science in com­merce degree.

After working as a secretary in Durham and a teacher in Warren County, she moved to Philadelphia in 1949. She retired from the World Affairs Council in Philadelphia in 1981, and retired to Norlina.

She was a charter member of the Philadelphia chapter of the North Carolina Central University Alumni Association.
